The 1st Assiniboia Scout group is bringing a shopping spree to Assiniboia — right in time for holiday shopping.

The СÀ¶ÊÓƵ Central Protective Services Asso­ciation has called towns, villages and RMs in the south central district for input on preferences for types of protective services training ahead of its De­cember meeting.

The RM and school board elections took place across Saskatchewan on October 26. In many RMs and towns in the Assiniboia area, polls were abandoned and councillors, mayors and reeves were elected by acclamation.

The СÀ¶ÊÓƵland Cooperative Ltd and Lafleche Co-operative Association will be amalgamating on January 29, 2017. Both Co-ops held membership meeting to adopt the resolution on the amalgama­tion.

A Community Safety meeting was held on October 27 at the Prince of Wales Centre. Almost all of the members of the Assiniboia Detachment of the RCMP were on hand, led by Sgt. Michael Shortland. The Assiniboia RCMP detachment members included Sgt.

The Assiniboia community was invited to participate in a cultural mapping of community assets on November 8.
