SASKATOON - Average retail gasoline prices in Saskatoon are 134.31 c/L, flat from last week's 134.51 c/L., according to GasBuddy's daily survey of gas outlets. This compares with the national average that has fallen 6.1 c/L in the last week to 134.90 c/L, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

The national average has decreased 1.8 c/L during the last month and stands 26.2 c/L lower than this day one year ago.

"Average gasoline prices across Canada have resumed their decline, with nearly every province seeing a drop, many by more than 4 cents per litre in just the past week," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. "With tensions in the Middle East easing, which had previously driven oil prices higher, Canadians are now seeing relief at the pumps ahead of the Canada Day long weekend. That relief is likely to continue, and some provinces may see their lowest Canada Day fuel prices in several years. As long as geopolitical tensions remain stable and the country avoids major disruptions — like a significant hurricane impacting U.S. supply — we could see further price drops into the summer."
