Letter to the Edior

Yesterday, I asked Ed if there were some people he would like to meet in person and get to know more about them. My old neighbour often answers a question with a question.

It seems that with each year that passes, I am writing more and more on alternative strategies for controls to use in your home garden.

Why do you turn a deaf ear? Why do you make yourself scarce? For as long as I remember I鈥檝e been hurting; I鈥檝e taken the worst you can hand out, and I鈥檝e had it. Your wildfire anger has blazed through my life; I鈥檓 bleeding, black-and-blue.

As soon as the weather gets warm and snow starts melting in the cow pen, I think of my old job driving a poop truck cleaning corrals.

Hello once more. If April showers are supposed to bring May flowers, we may not have any this spring. It has been a dry spring so far.

Dear Editor All winter the whittling went on, a slough here, a bush there. At times as much as half an acre was gained. But who cares about wildlife habitat? Then another death knell was accomplished by the aptly named SaskPower.

It鈥檚 May again, and that usually means one thing: it鈥檚 time for my annual summer box office prediction column! Ha, ha, ha! Good luck with that. 鈥淭he Roaring 鈥�20s鈥� is still 鈥渘ot鈥� 鈥� at least at the cineplexes.

Ed, my old neighbour in Saskatchewan, feels that you should never ask seniors, especially family members, how they are. They will tell you way more than you want to hear.
