Due to the holidays, senior hockey has slowed down in the area, but that will change and be back to normal next weekend with seven games scheduled over two days. The lone score to report on from last week was a rematch of the NSRHL final.

A 23-year-old woman is dead after a single-vehicle rollover in the early hours Wednesday. According to WPD Ambulance the crash happened around 3 a.m. approximately 36 km east of North Battleford.

After a 4-0 start to the Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League season, Maymont has lost two straight, both in lopsided games. Dec. 23, the Settlers were in Battleford to play the Beaver Blues and Maymont lost 12-2.

Collision rear Cando

A collision north of Cando has resulted in three people СÀ¶ÊÓÆµ sent to Battlefords Union Hospital. According to a WPD Ambulance news release, the collision happened on Highway 4 around 1:30 p.m. Dec. 29.
