Weyburn woman wanted by police released after arrest

She was released after an appearance in Regina Provincial Court.

Prior to her arrest, Weyburn RCMP had issued a public appeal for information, releasing Anjay Sarty’s photo.

WEYBURN – A 40-year-old Weyburn woman who was wanted by police last month has been released from custody following her arrest in late April.

Anja Sarty was apprehended by RCMP on April 28 in Stoughton and faces multiple charges, including forgery, theft, fraud, providing false information, and failure to comply with a probation order. The charges stem from a series of alleged incidents occurring between December 2024 and February 2025.

After a May 1 appearance in Regina Provincial Court, Sarty was released. Her next court date is scheduled for June 10 in Weyburn.

Prior to her arrest, Weyburn RCMP had issued a public appeal for information, releasing Sarty’s photo and notifying the community that she was wanted.
