Two facing weapons charges following altercation at business

SASKATOON - Two 16-year-old male youths have been charged following an incident at a Saskatoon gas station over the weekend.

Police were called to the 1200 block of Baltzan Blvd. at approximately 1:30 p.m. on July 6.

A staff member at the business reported that three males entered the building and a verbal altercation took place. One of the male suspects then reportedly produced a gun and pointed it at the staff member before all three fled the scene.

Officers arrived and located the three suspects nearby.

One male was found to be in possession of an expandable baton. He is now facing a charge of possession of a weapon and was released with a future appearance date in provincial court.

The second male was found to be in possession of what is now known to be a cap gun. He is charged with assault with a weapon and mischief under $5,000. He was also released from custody with a notice to appear in provincial court.
