One dead after crane collapses in Saskatoon

SASKATOON — An Alberta man is dead after a crane collapse in Saskatoon.

At approximately 9:40 a.m., July 5, police responded to an industrial accident involving a crane at a construction site in the 600 block of Webster Street. Investigation determined the crane collapsed, resulting in injuries to two persons.

Two males, ages 30 and 37, were transported to hospital, where the 30-year-old man, from Fort Saskatchewan, Alta., was pronounced deceased. Next of kin has been notified.
