REGINA — Motorists can expect significant traffic disruptions beginning Monday, July 7, as several major roads in Regina will be closed or restricted for extended infrastructure work.

Starting at 8 a.m., 13th Avenue will be closed from Broad Street to Halifax Street for more than four weeks while a private contractor completes work.

Halifax Street will also be closed between 14th Avenue and 13th Avenue for three days starting at 8 a.m. to allow for road repairs.

On the same day, Rae Street northbound will be restricted from Gordon Road to Westfield Drive for one week beginning at 7 a.m.

Between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., the Assiniboine Avenue on-ramp to Ring Road will be restricted while a private contractor works in the area. Northbound traffic on Ring Road will also be restricted during this period.

Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes and use caution in construction zones.

Transit riders are encouraged to check with Regina Transit to see if their routes or stops are affected by these closures.
