Methamphetamine, cocaine seized in police raid

PRINCE ALBERT - Members of the Prince Albert Police Service Crime Reduction Team (CRT) have concluded an investigation into drug trafficking and firearms in the City of Prince Albert.

On May 22, CRT became aware of an individual believed to have firearms and be trafficking drugs in Prince Albert.

Throughout the investigation, members of the Crime Reduction Team were able to obtain enough evidence to arrest 30-year-old Tyson Tobey at a business north of Prince Albert.

Further investigation led to a Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrants СÀ¶ÊÓÆµ executed at a residence in the 500 block of 10th Street East.

One vehicle was seized as part of the investigation.

The following items were seized:

- 725 grams of methamphetamine

- 111 grams of cocaine

- 32 grams of cocaine buff

- $2,470 Canadian Currency

- Six firearms

- Flashlight Conducted Energy Weapon

- Two sets of brass knuckles

- Assorted ammunition

- Two air pistols

- Two crossbows 

- A digital scale

As a result of this investigation, a 30-year-old man has been charged with possession of cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and numerous firearms and weapons charges.

He made his first court appearance on May 23.
