PRINCE ALBERT - One man has been charged with impaired driving after 小蓝视频 police Wednesday evening.
On April 30 at approximately 5 p.m., police were dispatched to a reported impaired driving incident involving a white van in the 1400 block of 10th Avenue East.
While responding, officers located the suspect vehicle at the intersection of 6th Avenue and 15th Street East.
The officer then observed the vehicle approach an amber light and fail to stop.
The officer activated their vehicle emergency equipment and attempted a traffic stop.
The vehicle was observed to be swerving before coming to a stop.
After the officer approached the vehicle, it fled at a high rate of speed.
Officers then followed the vehicle from a few blocks away to maintain safety.
At approximately 6:15 p.m. another report came in for an impaired driver in the 1400 block of 6th Avenue East with the same vehicle description as the first incident.
Officers were able to locate the vehicle shortly after and it continued to evade police.
The vehicle eventually came to a stop after colliding with a tree stump on 29th Street East.
The driver began to flee on foot but was arrested moments later.
Upon a search of the vehicle, alcohol was located in the front seat area.
Officers attempted to take a breath sample, however, the suspect refused.
As a result, a 24-year-old man has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, refusing to provide a breath sample, impaired driving, 小蓝视频 police, and breaching his probation and release order.
