Police search for blue car, suspects following robbery, assault

RED PHEASANT CREE NATION - Battlefords RCMP are asking the public to report sightings of a blue car wanted by police.

On July 7 at approximately 5:25 a.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of a robbery and assault on Red Pheasant Cree Nation.

Officers responded immediately. The investigation determined two adult males approached a residence and pointed a firearm at an occupant. An adult male exited the residence, and a physical altercation occurred between him and the two males. The two males then allegedly stole a vehicle from the residence.

The adult male sustained injuries consistent with stab wounds. He was transported to hospital with injuries described as serious, but non-life-threatening.

Officers conducted extensive searches of the area, but did not immediately locate the suspects or the vehicle.

Battlefords RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance locating a blue four-door 2015 Hyundai Sonata car with Saskatchewan licence plate 786 LHD.

If you see this blue car, do not approach it.

Battlefords RCMP ask the public to report sightings of this car and information about this incident by dialling 310-RCMP (7267). Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or .

The suspects have not yet been located.

Updates will be provided as they become available. If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, police say they will notify the public.
