LLOYDMINSTER, Sask. – A known high-ranking street gang member has been sentenced to 55 days in jail and 12 months of probation following his conviction on June 26.
Jesse Dillon, 33, was arrested in a high-risk takedown after Lloydminster RCMP, supported by Alberta RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Police Dog Services (PDS), executed high-risk warrants on the Saskatchewan side of the border city. The operation led to road closures and a heavy police presence.
In that incident, Dllon was charged with obstructing a police officer and failing to comply with a release order. Earlier this year, he had been charged in connection with a February 2025 armed robbery in Lloydminster, where police seized methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine from a vehicle.
In May 2024, Dillon was “inadvertently released” after a court appearance, prompting RCMP to issue a public warning that he was at large and considered dangerous. He was recaptured days later by Meadow Lake RCMP Crime Reduction Team.
Last June, robbery and firearms charges against Dillon were stayed in Lloydminster Saskatchewan Provincial Court.
Court testimony in Saskatoon revealed Dillon continued running a drug trafficking operation while incarcerated in Prince Albert. With the help of his then-girlfriend, he directed drug deals, collected debts, and made threats through hundreds of jailhouse phone calls using other inmates’ phone time.
