Battleford Canada Post hosts community barbecue

Children鈥檚 Charity earmarked for proceeds.

BATTLEFORD — Battleford Canada Post transformed into a hub of laughter and excitement as it hosted a community barbecue May 23.

Residents came together for a day filled with food, activities and a crowd-favourite dunk tank, where locals had the opportunity to dunk postal supervisors and postmasters.

Charmaine Loch, the postmaster of Battleford, helped co-ordinate the event.

“It’s a lot of work and energy. But helping out these charities gives me the drive I need,” Loch remarked, highlighting the spirit of community service that underpinned the day’s festivities.

All funds raised during the event are earmarked for the Children’s Charity. Community members are encouraged to apply for donations, which will be selected by the post office, ensuring that the assistance reaches those in need.
