One of Outlook鈥檚 own sports officials collected some impressive hardware earlier this month when Trevor Drury was bestowed with the Dick Willis Memorial Award for Umpire of the Year at the fall convention of Baseball Canada held in Mont Sainte-Anne, Quebec from November 7-10.
The Dick Willis Memorial Award recognizes Canada鈥檚 official of the year for their outstanding contribution and umpiring of the game of baseball.

A pillar of the Baseball Saskatchewan umpire program for over 20 years, Trevor鈥檚 tireless work has been felt across the province, country and internationally at all levels of the game. 聽He has been actively involved as a clinic instructor, evaluator, committee member, mentor for the new provincial supervisor, and an on-field umpire.聽 He has travelled all over Saskatchewan in order to serve as an umpire of the sport of baseball, and he has regularly worked games in the WCBL and also umpired at various provincial championship tournaments.聽 A veteran of numerous National Championship events, Trevor has also represented Canada at 3 international events and is an active member of Baseball Canada鈥檚 Umpire Program. In 2019, Trevor Supervised the Women鈥檚 Invitational in Okotoks, Alberta and was handed the gold medal game home plate assignment at the 21U Men鈥檚 Championship in Gatineau, Quebec.
This year, the award for Umpire of the Year goes to Trevor Drury from Saskatchewan.
